I find some end users are not able to login into Liferay. When I check, I noticed the digest column in users_ table is null.

What is the digest column is all about.

Hi,
Digest columns refers to the encoded text of the passwords..

In that case what should I look for if a user is not able to login. He exists in the Active Directory.

Hi,
What error are you getting while logging in..?
Register a fresh user and then watch the log?
See what errors are there..
