We're very new to Liferay so this may be a bit of a newbie question...

We're looking at building a document managment solution for a client. This will run to approx 6000 documents initially, maybe rising to 8000 within a couple of years. Is this suitable for Liferay's (6.1) built in document managment or are we better off going straight for Alfresco integration?

Just asking here to maybe save ourselves having to evaluate both options.

Liferay should be more than sufficient for that. Just make sure you use AdvancedFileSystemStore.
