Greetings -

I recently upgraded to the latest (RC6) version of Liferay Sync and it is connecting correctly to our SSL (https) sites that use LDAP for authentication. It will not connect to our other server that is using SSL with OpenSSO; this site has a few authentication redirects associated with it. I am getting a "The Login or Password is Incorrect", I know it is hitting the server as I get a warning about the cert. Has anyone see behavior like this or does anyone know if Liferay Sync will work with OpenSSO?

Any info would be much appreciated.

Brett

Any non browser access to services protected by any SSO solution usually doesn't work.

Thanks for the info. Is there any plans to make this work? We are using Open SSO and are very interested in Liferay Sync and really would like to be able to get it to work. Is there any way we could make it happen?

Thanks
Brett

There's no plans that I know of to implement such functionality.

Right now we are getting ready for GA1 which should be in the very near future. So it won't be in that. We will look at possibly adding it to a future release.

Mika / Gail -

Thanks for the info. Bummer that it isn't supported currently. Do you know if there is a way to for us to make it work with OpenSSO?

Do you guys know if it can be used with SAML or if there are plans to do so?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

WebDAV, JSONWS and other remote services won't work with any SSO solution currently. That includes SAML, SiteMinder, OpenSSO, NTLM, CAS + what ever you can think of. Making it work would require the client to support the SSO solution and be able to pass what ever token, cookie or header that solution expects. In this case the client is the Liferay Sync application. All of the SSO solutions I listed are Web SSO solutions that expect a user and a browser however we are working on implementing WS-Security with SAML in a future version of Liferay.
