Why one can't override standard css? I'd like to keep aui stuff and such available in my theme, but that global styles like line-height: 1.6em, margins and font-size are real headache, it takes a long time to override them for every element.

Is there any way to prevent loading stngard aui.css and use slightly modified aui.css without patching portal?

Styles can be overwritten. Exactly which css definition do you want to overwrite.

I need to overwrite element (p, span, input etc.) styles in aui.css
I know I can override css files that are referenced in my theme's main.css, but it's not the case since aui.css in not loaded directly
