Hello!!

I know there's really brilliant minds here, and I'm hoping someone can help with this.

Set the Page Comments Portlet to Have Static (Always On) Fields For: "Post Reply", "Top", "Edit", and "Delete"

As it stands, you have to hover your mouse over each comment to show the fields on screen. Any ideas how to set to "always-on"?

Screenshot Attached.

Also. we're utilizing Liferay 6.1.10 GA1. Thank you for your help!

There's been 76 views of this post but no response. Anyone have any ideas on this one? Surely there's a way to code this in a configuration property somewhere?

76 views is not a lot. And I doubt this is something that people want to do normally.

Anyway, near as I can tell this is managed by the ROOT/html/taglib/ui/discussion/view_message_thread.jsp, specifically line 37 where it is changing the class when you hover over the row.

Create a JSP hook for this file and set line 37 to be simply:

1<tr class="<%= classHoverName %>">

Note that since this is part of the tag library, the change would impact more than just the page comments portlet.
