Hi Hery Sutanto,

It depends on what do you want to modify from OOTB portlet. If it's jsp, custom action, propertie file, struts action etc then you should use hook.
If it can't be achieved via this, then you should use ext plugins.

And both the options available to create hook and ext plugins using Liferay IDE.

On Liferay IDE, hook project can be created by New -> New Liferay Project -> select hook radio button.

Hi guys,

Actually I wanted to edit the existing functionality of portlet, I was working with blogs portlet....
It's display setting for 'abstract' option doesn't display correctly
It suppose to display some sentences before 'read more' link, but it doesn't display any sentences at all.
