Hello everyone!

Today I have a new problem.
Imagine that you have a teacher that have two different lectures and during the lecture the teacher posts in blog.
There is a blog for each lecture so lets go ahead and call them:

Lecture 1 with blog 1
Lecture 2 with blog 2

Now if the teacher posts in Lecture 1 in blog 1 it should not be seen in blog 2. But it does with the blog that comes with Liferay.
My question is is there any way around this? Can you guys give any good hints.

Thanks in advance emoticon
Best regards

The question is bit unclear.

Is Lecture1 mapped to a page in Liferay?

If yes then you can set the scope of the blog portlet to that particular page.

Assuming you have two pages Lecture1 and Lecture2 in the same community on which blog portlets are placed. In that case, just go to the Configuration of the blog portlet. You should see a tab called Scope, clicking on which should allow you to change the scope of the portlet. Just change it to current page.

Regards,
Sandeep.

Lecture 1 and 2 is mapped to a page in Liferay.

I understand what you mean. I have tried that but it doesnt work as the way I want it.
Normally you have one global site and one private site once you are logged into Liferay.

In the private section I added the blog. In the lecture page there is a so called Aggregating Blog that shows the post sent from the teacher.
If the teacher posts something in lecture 1 it shows the post in lecture 2 also.

What I want is to separate these so when the teacher posts a new entry in lecture 1 lecture 2 can't see it.

Bahador

I found the code and it was already in a true statement:

<scopeable>true</scopeable>

Question is how can I achieve what the Scope brings up?

Thanks a lot Sandeep for the describtions. They are very informative.

It works like a charm now, once I moved some things. The scope is corrected by changing to current page as you show in the picture.
However to get this to work is it a requirement that the Blog and Aggregating Blog should be in same page in order to work?
I mean the way it is used right now is that the blog is in my personal page. The Aggregating Blog is in the lecture 1.
Should the Blog and Aggregating Blog be moved to lecture 1? If so why cant you use it from the personal page?

Hi sandeep,

I am also facing same issue regarding blog scope,

I have three pages Home,course,alumni,
Each page have 1 blog aggregator with different blogs using scope, like Home scope aggregator, course scope aggregator, alumni scope aggregator
Displaying blogs in aggregator perfectly with current page scope.

But issue is displaying each blog with different scopes, I have a blog page for displaying blog
How can I config different scopes in displaying page.
any help?

Thanks

Just follow the picture Sandeep just shown me and you should be ok. It is very important that you use different scopes. Else it will use a regular scope that is shown for all aggregator. It is with the scope that you render and only show things you want to show in the specific field like Home scope aggregator, course scope aggregator and alumni scope aggregator. Hope this helps emoticon

Sorry if it's off-topic but I had a similar situation once and discovered what I really wanted was an asset publisher to get the desired view.

As far as I know, you can edit them from the setting.
