Hi,

I wanted to change the chat portlet with a hook so that not the fullname of users, but the screenname would be shown in the chat-window. But strangely I cannot find any code related to the chat portlet in liferay source code to overwrite. Is it possible to change the behaviour of the chat portlet? If yes, how? what is the address? Any hints/helps would be appreciated! emoticon

Chat portlet is a separate portlet from liferay's ROOT portlet.

Check the following directory for the source. Since it's not part of ROOT, you won't be able to hook it.
\liferay-portal-6.1.0-ce-ga1\tomcat-7.0.23\webapps\chat-portlet\WEB-INF\src

by the way, for those who are interested, I solved it by overwriting view.jsp within chat-portlet folder in the Tomcat directory. It is not a clean solution, but it worked! ;)
