is there a way to completely disable the setting (and evaluation) of the GUEST_LANGUAGE_ID cookie?

We would like to either show the portal in the default langauge or by letting the user explicitely choose one language (which results in a /en/... or /de/... and thus does not need the cookie).

When displaying the default portal language any previous GUEST_LANGUAGE_ID cookie interferes with that (e.g. after logging out), so we would like to complete disable the usage of that cookie.

Is that possible?

Or do we need to intercept somewhere else?

I looked through the code. There does not seem to be a way to do it via configuration. It would be doable via code by extending ServicePreAction and changing the behavior of initThemeDisplay. Personally i'd like to see a property that allows you to disable this. You could file an improvement request in jira
