Hi,

I am looking for a solution to this scenario -
  • Images and other documents are uploaded to Akamai CDN
  • Content editors create webcontent but they want easy way to link documents from Akamai. This should be similar to browse button for Image Gallery, Document Library available with Liferay WYSYWIG editor

Is this possible ? What could be a possible approach to solve this?

This would be a good function. Any Akamai API could be easily used for accessing the content? Then would be possible.

Actually I decided to use a prettly simple work around
1. maintain URI of all those files which are hosted on CDN in a SQL table
2. use this table to generate a UI that will render all images using above table
3. let user click on an image, generate URL of this image using simple javascript

This way I can support not only Akamai but any other CDN my client chooses to implement.

Hi Advait,

I am trying to solve a similar problem.
Do you mind giving me more details on your solution.
I am completely new to Liferay, so any starting point would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Priyank
