Hi,
I have installed LIferay6.0.6 .
Most of the pages shows JS error in IE. Even home page gives JS error in IE. Everything works fine in firefox.
Pls help me how to resolve that problem.

Hi Ozawa,

In my home page have 12 portlets.
I changed the <render-weight> value for the journal content from 50 to 0 in the following file:
liferay-portal-6.0.6\tomcat-6.0.6\webapps\ROOT\WEB-INF\liferay-portlet.xml.
I got error on page in IE.Pls help me how to resolve this one.

Can you please try playing with these properties.. set these in portal-ext.properties..
javascript.fast.load=false
theme.css.fast.load=false
theme.images.fast.load=false
com.liferay.portal.servlet.filters.minifier.MinifierFilter=false

Every object is present there, its just that they are not loaded yet and browser is trying to access..

Along with the render weight please try this and let us know if that works..

Hi Vincy,

Setting render weight to 0, the service.js file is not automatically loaded and if you need those services (for example, components like tags or categories selector use those services) the portlet will throw javascript exceptions.

You can avoid it loading this javascript file for portlets need it through your liferay-portlet.xml file, for example for this case:
<footer-portal-javascript>/html/js/liferay/service.js</footer-portal-javascript>

Let me know if this solves the problem.
